Master's Degrees Entrance Exam International LL.M. Program: official TOEFL report or IELTS score if the language of instruction in the degree program was not English. The TOEFL report must come directly from Educational Testing Services (ETS), and the TOEFL or IELTS cannot be more than two years old. The scores may be sent to LSAC to include with your LLM CAS file.

Upon favorable recommendation of the faculty, the master of laws (LL.M.) degree is conferred upon students in the International Graduate Program who have: *been in residence in The University of Alabama School of Law for two semesters and enrolled for at least 24 semester hours of work over the academic year, *maintained a minimum 2.5 overall grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for all courses and seminars, and *demonstrated satisfactory understanding of the subject matter and above-average ability as legal scholars.

JD requires 90 hours of coursework, including 6 hours of experiential work, 1 seminar, and 34 required hours of required coursework; JSD requires 48 hours of supervised research and successful defense of a dissertation
Other Advanced Degrees Entrance Exam J.D. Program: LSAT or GRE. The School of Law requires that you submit an LSAT or GRE Score. If you have an LSAT score or plan to take the LSAT, you must indicate this on your application and your highest LSAT score will be the primary score used in the admissions decision.
Upon favorable recommendation of the faculty, the J.D. degree is conferred upon students who have: *maintained overall grade point averages of at least 2.33 for all work attempted in the School of Law, *earned at least 90 semester hours of credit for work in the Law School, including all required courses, *successfully completed a seminar, *successfully completed at least six credit hours in designated experiential courses, *maintained, in the judgment of the faculty, a satisfactory record of honorable conduct befitting a prospective member of the legal profession, and *completed requirements for the J.D. not less than 24 months after matriculating as a law student and not more than 6 calendar years after matriculating as a law student
