Must be admitted to candidacy, pass comprehensive examination, receive recommendation from department, and complete degree within 5 years. Psychology and Counseling programs ÔÇô Must be admitted to candidacy, pass written comprehensive examination, receive recommendation from department, & complete degree within 5 years. Certain programs require student to complete 300-400 hours of supervised clinical experience (including 100-150 direct hours) and/or pass thesis defense.

Teacher Certification requirements: To receive state certification, student must complete the required state certification exam in both pedagogy and content areas; must complete required courses for specified certification, and complete necessary internships. Additionally, students may be required to complete deficiency plan and pass TExES exams, and/or become certified through TEA. Students may be required to undergo clinical teaching requirements and pass necessary state certification exams. Behavioral Science certification requirements: To obtain LSSP license, student must complete 1200-hour internship under the supervision of a LSSP or SSP supervisor, obtain score of at least 165 on the National School Psychology Exam, and pass jurisprudence exam at 90%. To become MFT, student must pass the national licensure examination administered by AMFTRB, pass the state Jurisprudence Exam, and complete 3000 supervised wor

Master's Degree Exam May be required to submit GRE scores.
Master's Degree Requirements All applicants must provide transcripts, resume, references, and attend an interview. Christian Psychology, Clinical Mental Health, Christian Counseling, MFT, LPC programs -must provide a 500 word written response to prompt & attend candidate presentation. Certain specializations may have additional requirements.
Doctoral Degree Requirements Applicants must provide official transcripts from university that awarded master's degree, submit a 5-7 page master's level research paper that was written during master's program, provide their resume & service record, and provide 3 references. Must pay a $35 processing fee. Interview may be required. Master degree required.
Additional Entrance Requirements Applicants must provide transcripts, references, resume/service record, copy of teaching/principal certification (if applicable) & attend an interview/ candidate presentation. Superintendent Certificate-must provide personal statement. Principle Certification-must have master's degree. Some applicants required to submit a personal statement.
